Privacy Policy

Digital Garden ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data in accordance with international standards, including the GDPR, when you use our Android application and our associated cloud services.

Local Storage: By default, your plant data, care schedules, and diary photos are stored locally on your device. We cannot access this data unless you enable cloud features.

Cloud Sync (Optional): If you create an account and enable "Cloud Sync," your garden data and plant photos are uploaded to our secure servers (hosted on Cloudflare) to allow multi-device synchronization and secure backup.

Authentication: We use Google Sign-In and email/password authentication. We store your email address and a unique User ID to manage your account and subscription status.

To provide features like Plant Identification and the AI Expert, the App sends relevant plant context and photos to our AI partners (including PlantNet and OpenRouter). This data is processed temporarily and solely to provide botanical advice. It is not used for user profiling, advertising, or permanent storage beyond the scope of your request.

All premium subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not store or have access to your credit card information, bank details, or billing address.

We retain your cloud-synchronized data only as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is purged from our production servers immediately.

We use the following third-party providers to operate the App:

• Google Play Services: For authentication and billing.
• Cloudflare: For secure data hosting and synchronization.
• AdMob: To serve advertisements to non-premium users. We utilize Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage your privacy choices for these advertisements.
• Resend: To deliver transactional emails such as password resets and account verification.
• AI Partners: PlantNet (Identification) and OpenRouter (AI Expert).

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We utilize the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage your consent for data collection and personalized advertising. You have the right to access, rectify, or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Manage Consent" option located in the App's Legal settings.

We respect your right to be forgotten. We provide two ways to delete your account and all associated data:

• In-App Deletion: Go to Settings > Account and select Delete Account. This will immediately and permanently wipe your profile and data from our servers.
• Manual Request: If you have uninstalled the App and wish to request data deletion, please email us at deletion@digitalgardensupport.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request."

Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. You must manage subscriptions through the Play Store app.
